How can I test if the driver of my device works as expected?

In this article, you can find guidance how to test your driver and device connection.

All systems that come with the TMSi 7.2.144 driver and a Fusbi can be tested. Please take the following steps:

  • Run the Windows Command Prompt as administrator
  • Go to file explorer, find the C: > Program Files > TMSI – PC driver > Example Code folder & copy the full path
  • Paste path in command window
  • Type ‘ExampleCode.exe u’ (without ‘ ‘) and press Enter (see example in picture below)
  • If the device is found, the serial number is provided in the results (main : FrontEnd has Serial <SN>)
  • If device was found, type ‘ExampleCode.exe u s’ (without ‘ ‘)
  • The Fusbi starts sampling. On the screen of the device, ‘Connect’ should now be changed to ‘Fiber’.
  • Press CRTL+C to stop sampling
  • Rerun ‘ExampleCode.exe u’ (without ‘ ‘) to reset the connection
  • You can test the same thing with a Bluetooth connection. Change ‘u’ for ‘b’.

If you cannot find the device (no serial number is provided in the output), please send a screenshot of your results to your local distributor.
